Jacksonville Employment Law Firm Adds New Attorney and Announces Promotion

January 3, 2005 – JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA – The labor and employment law firm of Constangy, Brooks & Smith, LLC is pleased to welcome a new attorney, and the firm has named a new member (partner) to its Jacksonville, Florida office. Victoria S. Nemerson joins the firm as special counsel. Margaret Philips Zabijaka has been promoted to member (partner) of the firm.

Nemerson comes to Constangy, Brooks & Smith from Ceridian Corporation where she served as vice president of compliance. With experience in public accounting and law, Nemerson has a history of developing and implementing operational controls and polices that minimize an organization’s risk and provide sound employment practices. She will counsel employers on employment law matters, corporate governance issues and will provide preventative training for management. A graduate with honors of Florida Coastal School of Law, Nemerson is admitted to the State Bar of Florida.

Zabijaka defends employers in all areas of labor and employment law, including claims of sexual harassment; retaliation; and disability, age, religion, race, sex, and national origin discrimination. Zabijaka has also defended against breach of contract, fraud in the inducement, negligence, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
