George Mason University School of Law Student Awarded Annual Diversity Scholars Award

Fairfax, VA - Constangy, Brooks & Smith, LLC proudly presented its annual 2008 Diversity Scholars Award to George Mason University School of Law student Edyta-Christina Grybowska. Grybowska, a second-year law student, received a $2,000 scholarship.

Constangy initiated the award program in order to recognize the achievements of deserving law students and help defray the considerable expense of law school, while promoting diversity in the legal profession. The firm awards scholarships to a second-year law student in each of the regions where it has offices. Award recipients were selected based on the following criteria: academic achievement; commitment to diversity in the community, in the student’s school or work environment; and personal achievement in overcoming challenges to reach goals.

George Mason University School of Law student Edyta-Christina Grybowska has volunteered for the Joint Task Force Guantanamo Bay, Student Hurricane Network, Law Students Working for Justice in The Gulf Coast (New Orleans), Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies - Republic of Georgia, European Institute of Cyprus – Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Adopt-a-Minefield Campaign, United Nations Association of USA and Bulgarian Cultural Society.
