Constangy, Brooks & Smith, LLC, Increases North Carolina Legal Presence with more Attorneys and OPening Asheville Office

Atlanta, Georgia – Constangy, Brooks & Smith, LLC, a multi-state labor and employment law firm based in Atlanta, announced this week that three lawyers from the Edwards, Ballard, Clark, Barrett and Carlson, P.A. firm have joined its North Carolina operations.

Kenneth P. Carlson, Jr. and Terry A. Clark have joined Constangy’s office in Winston-Salem, while Jonathan W. Yarbrough will open a new office for the firm in Asheville, North Carolina. All three attorneys have joined as members, and will continue their practice of representing management only in all areas of labor and employment law.

"Each of these attorneys are outstanding lawyers in their fields and bring a wealth of experience in labor and employment law matters."

Constangy, Brooks & Smith, LLC has nearly 100 attorneys in eight states throughout the Southeast and Midwest. The firm is a traditional labor and employment defense firm, representing management and corporations exclusively in employment, labor, wage and hour, benefits, OSHA, and other areas of labor and employment law. In addition to Atlanta, Winston-Salem and Asheville, its offices are in Birmingham, AL; Columbia, SC; Fairfax, VA; Jacksonville, Lakeland and Tampa, FL; Kansas City, MO; Macon, GA; and Nashville, TN.

Mr. Carlson is a 1976 graduate of the University of North Carolina, and earned his law degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law. His practice is concentrated in the areas of employment litigation, employment law, trade secrets and noncompetition litigation, and wage & hour law.

Mr. Clark is a 1982 graduate of Furman University, and earned his law degree from the Cumberland School of Law of Samford University. His practice is concentrated in the areas of labor law, employment litigation and employment law.

Mr. Yarbrough is a 1989 graduate of Wake Forest University, and earned his law degree from the University of Louisville School of Law. His practice is concentrated in the areas of employment litigation, employment law, affirmative action matters, and wage & hour law.
