University of Florida, Levin College of Law Student Awarded Annual Diversity Scholars Award

Jacksonville, FL - Constangy, Brooks & Smith, LLC proudly presented its annual 2008 Diversity Scholars Award to University of Florida, Levin College of Law student Emma Harber White. White, a second-year law student, received a $2,000 scholarship.

Constangy initiated the award program in order to recognize the achievements of deserving law students and help defray the considerable expense of law school, while promoting diversity in the legal profession. The firm awards scholarships to a second-year law student in each of the regions where it has offices. Award recipients were selected based on the following criteria: academic achievement; commitment to diversity in the community, in the student’s school or work environment; and personal achievement in overcoming challenges to reach goals.

White is ranked in the top 12 percent of her class with a 3.62 GPA. She is the executive articles editor for the Florida Journal of Law and Public Policy, a teaching assistant for the Legal Research and Writing and Appellate Advocacy as well as a member of the National Native American Law Student Association.
