Kansas City, MO. (June 28, 2005) Constangy, Brooks and Smith, LLC, a labor and employment law firm representing management with clients across the country and offices in Kansas City, Mo., announces the addition of Donna K. McNamara as Of Counsel.
McNamara joins Constangy’s employment laws practice with 15 years experience advising clients on employment issues, in addition to developing training and compliance plans. McNamara is equally experienced in developing employment and independent contractor agreements for all levels of personnel. She has successfully represented employers in virtually every aspect of employment law, including Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), The Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), wage and hour, sexual harassment and discrimination claims.
McNamara’s prior experience as in-house counsel has afforded her the opportunity to deal with employment issues at a grass roots level, developing “best practices” that comply with the law and meeting business needs. She is a gradutate of Yale Law School. Her undergraduate degree was earned at Austin College in Austin, Texas.
McNamara is a member of the American Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association and Texas Bar Association. She volunteers for various civic and charitable organizations, including St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf, Children’s Mercy Hospital, Harvesters, The Children’s Place and Girl Scouts Mid-America Council.
