Janowitz, office managing member at Constangy, specializes in every aspect of proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).  He has defended cases involving union organizing, collective bargaining, single/joint employer status, successor-ship, discrimination, healthcare bargaining units and cessation of operation.  He also serves as chief negotiator in complex negotiations for initial and successor labor agreements in many industries including healthcare, transportation, warehousing, construction, hospitality, retail, entertainment and manufacturing.  Prior to opening the firm’s Kansas City, MO. office in 1999, Janowitz was a partner with the law firm of Shook, Hardy & Bacon, LLP, where he served as Chair Labor/Employment Section.  Before entering private practice, Janowitz served as regional attorney for the NLRB.
