Atlanta - Kathy Perkins, Managing Member (equity partner) at Constangy, Brooks & Smith LLC, a national labor and employment law firm representing management, is preparing for the 20th Annual Conference, 2006 Jury Trial Litigation of Employment Claims:  How To Do It Right!  The two-day conference will take place July 31- August 1 in Hilton Head, S.C.; September 21-22 in San Antonio; October 26-27 and December 7-8 in Las Vegas; and November 9-10 in San Diego, Calif. 

The 2006 Jury Trial Litigation of Employment Claims:  How to Do It Right! features the country’s top employment law attorneys.  The conference, which has been approved for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) for attorney participants, will address key strategies and techniques used by successful employment law attorneys to win jury cases for their clients. 

Conference Faculty Includes:
Kathy Perkins – Perkins, a member in Constangy’s Kansas City office, focuses her practice on reducing the risk of employment litigation by counseling private and public employers in all aspects of employment law.  She has broad experience defending employers in civil litigation, including class actions, as well as administrative claims.  Perkins earned her Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School and her Bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University.

John F. Wymer, III – Wymer is a partner in the Atlanta office of King & Spalding.  His practice focuses in all phases of labor and employment law.  He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama and his Juris Doctor degree from University Virginia.

William S. Waldo – Waldo is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, LLP, where he concentrates on employment and labor law issues.  He is a graduate of Georgetown University and received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School.

Robert E. Sheeder – Sheeder is a partner in the Dallas office of Jenkens & Gilchrist, where he handles all types of labor and employment law matters.  He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School. 

Paul E. Prather – Prather is a founding member of the law firm of Kiesewetter Wise Kaplan Prather, PLC in Memphis Tenn., where his primary area of practice is labor and employment relations law.  He received his Juris Docotr degree from the University of Memphis.

Lawrence J. Murphy – Murphy is a partner with the law firm of Varnum, Riddering, Schmidt & Howlett, LLP, where he specializes in employment law and litigation.  He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and Juris Doctor degree from Wayne State University.

Joseph L. Beachboard – Beachboard, the conference moderator, is a shareholder with the law firm of Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C.
