Winston-Salem attorneys have been named to Business
North Carolina Magazine’s 2007 Legal Elite. Members
W. Randy Loftis, Penni Bradshaw, Kenneth P. Carlson, Jr.

to the Elite list for employment law.
Legal Elite results are based on a survey sent to more than
17,000 members of the State Bar living in North Carolina,
asking them to vote for the attorneys they thought were the
best attorneys in 12 business-related practice areas.
Loftis, head of the firm's litigation practice group, is
a senior litigator who has defended a number of class action
claims and assists employers in problem prevention and legal
analysis of complex workplace issues. Loftis is also
recognized as a 2006 Who’s Who Legal USA – Management
Labor and Employment, the Best Lawyers in America 2006,
North Carolina Super Lawyers, was ranked as one
of North Carolina’s top attorneys in the 2006 Chambers
USA Guide, and is regularly named to the Business North
Carolina’s Legal Elite for employment law.
Bradshaw, a board-certified specialist in immigration
law, concentrates her practice in the areas of employment
law and immigration law. She started practicing law
in 1980 and has been nationally recognized throughout the
years in Best Lawyers in America, Who’s
Who Legal USA, North Carolina Super Lawyers in
addition to being ranked as one of North Carolina’s
top attorneys in the Chambers USA Guide. In
2004 she was named the top labor and employment attorney
in North Carolina by Business North Carolina.
Carlson is a senior litigator who primarily represents companies
in discrimination, harassment and wrongful discharge law. He
also helps companies develop trade secret protection programs
and handles covenant not to compete and trade secret litigation. Carlson
is an adjunct professor at the Wake Forest University School
of Law where he teaches courses in trial practice and trade
secrets/unfair competition, and is regularly named to Business
North Carolina’s Legal Elite for employment
law. He is also consistently named to North Carolina Super
Lawyers, and has been named to the Best Lawyers
in America for labor & employment law and for alternative
dispute resolution.
Doyle has represented employers in all aspects of labor
and employment law matters for more then 35 years. He
is the founding chair of the North Carolina Bar Association’s
section on Labor and Employment Law and was inducted to The
College of Labor and Employment Lawyers in 1998. He
is also recognized as a 2006 Who’s Who Legal USA – Management
Labor and Employment, the Best Lawyers in America 2006,
was ranked as one of North Carolina’s top attorneys
in the 2006 Chambers USA Guide, selected to The
North Carolina’s Top 100 Lawyers as well as Super
Lawyers and is regularly named to the Business North
Carolina’s Legal Elite for employment law.
Wooten joined the Winston-Salem office in 2003, where her
primary focus is employment litigation. She frequently
counsels clients on a variety of issues related to the employer-employee
relationship, with a focus on diversity issues in the workplace. In
addition to her practice, Wooten is a member of the firm's
Diversity Council and an adjunct professor in the School
of Business and Economics at Winston Salem State University,
where she teaches courses in Business Law and the Legal Environment
of Business.
