Elections 2008
Challenges & Opportunities for Employers
Presented by: Constangy, Brooks & Smith, LLC and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce
Today's businesses face overreaching labor regulations and anti-business mandates, many of which hurt your bottom lines. Now, in this critical election year, the employer community must take an active role in advocating for sound labor and employment policy as well as opposing unreasonable expansions of workplace regulation.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Vice President for Labor, Immigration and Employee Benefits, Randy Johnson, will discuss how the Chamber will work to defeat a broad array of new mandates. Our own Constangy lawyers will advise on how the issues affect employers. Topics to be discussed include:
- How can we protect our company from unions as the Employee Free Choice Act looms?
- What specific training programs should we initiate now to be prepared when unions come knocking on the door?
- How is the U.S. Chamber of Commerce making headway on behalf of the business community?
