Breakfast & Registration 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.

Presentation 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m

Our increasingly connected world presents tremendous opportunities - as well as considerable risk - for employers. Allowing employees to use their own mobile devices for work (BYOD) has its benefits, but how can employers mitigate the risks to company data that it presents? Likewise, what can employers do to curb concerns over liability, confidentiality, and productivity presented by social media? And what security practices should employers require employees to follow to protect company data from threats such as public Wi-Fi hacks, phishing attacks, and theft of devices?

This event will provide answers from both legal and technical perspectives. Teresa Bult and Phylinda Ramsey, Attorneys with Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete, LLP, will provide legal tips on crafting employee policies to protect company data, and Sean Wright, President & CEO of 3n1media, will demonstrate risks associated with mobile technology and detail both high and low-tech measures for mitigating them.
