E-Verify Required (Again) for Federal Contractors
WebinarAugust 19, 2009
The Department of Homeland Security has announced its plans to move forward with President Bush's E-Verify mandate for federal contractors. Beginning September 8, 2009, the Obama administration will begin enforcement of regulations previously intended to go into effect in January 2009, which were delayed because of litigation and analysis by the new administration.
Please join us on August 19, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern for a 1-hour webinar discussing these requirements. We will cover such topics as:
- Immigration Overview
- E-Verify Basics
- Who is covered by the E-Verify regulations?
- Which employees must be "verified"?
- When must covered contractors comply?
- What are the notice requirements?
- And a quick I-9 refresher
This webinar is presented by Penni Bradshaw, Chair of Constangy's Immigration Practice Group, and Cara Crotty, Co-Chair of our Affirmative Action Practice Group.
