The Davis-Bacon Act: Federal Construction Prevailing Wage Requirements

Webinar
February 10, 2010

The Davis-Bacon Act (DBA) requires contractors and subcontractors working on federally funded contracts for the construction, alteration, or repair (including painting or decorating) of federal public works, such as buildings and highways, to pay prevailing wages. The dramatic increase in the amount of federal government contracts and funding agreements has made DBA compliance a critical issue for any business that is doing or will be doing work on federal projects.

Please join us on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. EST where we will discuss the details of DBA coverage, requirements, definitions, wage determinations, calculation of and credit for various benefits toward the fringe rate, example payment situations that comply with the DBA, the DBA survey process, common compliance mistakes, and the penalties and sanctions for compliance failures.
