JACKSONVILLE—National labor and employment law firm Constangy, Brooks & Smith, LLP, welcomes Jesse D. Bannon and Christine M. Leas as associates in its Jacksonville, Florida, office. Both of their practices focus on litigation, defending employers in state and federal court.
Before joining Constangy, Mr. Bannon served as an assistant state attorney in the Tenth Judicial Circuit, where he gained extensive courtroom experience and tried five jury trials to verdict. He is a cum laude graduate of the University of Florida College of Law, where he received Book Awards for Legal Research & Writing, Evidence, and Trial Practice and was a teaching assistant for Legal Research & Writing, Appellate Advocacy, and Trial Practice. He graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Mass Communications from the University of South Florida, where he was a member of Kappa Tau Alpha honor society.
Leas is a graduate of Northwestern University School of Law, where she was a quarterfinalist in the Moot Court competition and participated in the Student Funded Public Interest Fellowship program (SFPIF), which gives fellowships to first-year law students to work in public interest during the summer. Leas received her B.A. in psychology from Duke University.
