TAMPA, Fla.— National labor and employment law firm, Constangy, Brooks & Smith, LLP, welcomes new Of Counsel Attorney, M. Kristen Allman, to its Tampa office.
Allman has extensive litigation and counseling experience in all areas of employment law representing primarily private sector employers and non-profits. Having handled a wide range of litigation matters in federal and state courts in Florida, as well as other parts of the country, Allman brings a number of practice area specialties to Constangy.
Among her areas of expertise are: collective and individual wage-hour actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, family and medical leave, disability, ADA Title III, breach of contract, defamation, negligent hiring/retention, fraudulent misrepresentation, whistle-blowing, ERISA and commercial claims, among others.
A graduate of the University of Florida, Allman later went on to earn her J.D. at Florida State University, where she graduated with honors. In addition to joining Constangy, Allman is currently working as an adjunct professor in the University of South Florida’s Continuing Education Program in Employment Law Compliance.
She is involved in a number of professional, civic and community activities including the American Bar Association and the Florida Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section, the Southwest Florida Employers Association, Leadership Tampa Alumni, and the Society for Human Resources Management, among others.
