Alyssa works in Constangy's Macon, Georgia office. A graduate of University of Georgia (B.A., magna cum laude), and a graduate of Georgia State University College of Law, (J.D., magna cum laude), she has served as a member of the Young Lawyers Division and a Board Member of the Leadership Academy; member of the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Georgia; member of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit; member Supreme Court of the United States.
Alyssa practices in all areas of employment and labor law with an emphasis in employment litigation and management training. Alyssa has represented a broad range of clients in employment and traditional labor matters, specializing in single plaintiff cases, class action litigation and Wage and Hour Compliance litigation. Alyssa also advises employers on a wide topic of practical management and employer issues such as EEO policies, attendance and leave policies and non-competition and non-solicitation agreements.
Alyssa is a contributing co-author to the Mercer Law Review, publishing an annual article on Labor and Employment Law for the Annual Survey of Georgia Law. She is also a contributing author to the Georgia Defense Lawyer’s annual publication and a contributing editor to the annual publication of Developing Labor Law. She is an active participant with the Georgia Employers Association, the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association, the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers, and the Young Lawyers Division for the State Bar of Georgia. She is a graduating member of the Leadership Academy for the State Bar and was elected as an Executive Counsel Representative for the Young Lawyers Division for the Middle District of Georgia. She is an active peerage leader of the Bootle Inn of Court. Alyssa was appointed Co-Chair of the Labor and Employment Committee for the State Bar Young Lawyers Division and Director of Membership Outreach.
Other Personal Background Information and Interests
- During her spare time, Alyssa enjoys Georgia football and spending time with her two dogs, Scrappy and Nibbles. She also enjoys the outdoors, mainly canoeing and kayaking.
