Eric S. Proser

"Defending Workers’ Compensation cases requires a delicate balance between aggressive, experienced litigation strategies and practical, cost-effective, and prompt file closure goals.  I am proud that the Constangy’s workers’ compensation department has the resources, experience and tenacity to defend every manner of workers’ compensation claim  --  without compromising the ‘big picture’ to employers who are also cognizant of the impact a workers’ compensation claim has on their overall employment considerations."

--Eric Proser, Workers’ Compensation Head

Eric Proser is the firm's Workers' Compensation Practice Head which now includes defense of workers' compensation in 8 states. He has been successfully defending workers' compensation claims for over a decade, including litigation at administrative law hearings and through all levels of court, protection and pursuit of subrogation interests and pursuit of reimbursement from the Subsequent Injury Trust Fund. In addition to his litigation practice, Eric regularly advises employers and insurers on how to prevent or minimize exposure and claims, and on appropriate reserves. His philosophy is that open claims need successful litigation results or creative resolutions to become closed claims, and that doing so promptly and aggressively is the best approach. He has been a frequent lecturer at seminars and symposiums on a wide variety of workers' compensation topics, and speaks for approved continuing education credits for claims adjusters.
