Overview

Evan advises regional and national employers on workplace law and defends them in employment litigation across state and federal courts.

His practice focuses on single and multi-plaintiff cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, the FMLA, FLSA, FCRA, and other employment laws.

Evan brings both law firm and in-house experience to his practice, having been seconded to internal legal teams at multiple global companies. In those roles, he advised business leaders on complex issues such as leave and accommodation requests, wage and hour compliance, reductions in force, and employee discipline. He continues to provide employers with practical counsel to develop compliant policies, reduce risk, and manage workplace disputes effectively.

Before joining Constangy, Evan practiced in the Kansas City offices of two international labor and employment law firms. His litigation and advisory background gives him a well-rounded perspective on how legal strategy aligns with operational goals in diverse workplace settings.

During law school, Evan served as an editor of the Kansas Law Review and interned for the Honorable Carlos Murguia of the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas. He was a member of the Moot Court Council, and as a participant in the In-House Moot Court Competition, he was recognized for best over-all brief on issue involving ERISA preemption. In Tulane University’s National Sports Law Invitational Competition, he won best overall brief, in which he addressed labor law issues.
