SHRM Online is reporting that an Executive Order prohibiting federal contractors from discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation is awaiting the President's signature. The Employment Non-Discrimination Act has failed to pass Congress for several years, and it appears that President Obama may act unilaterally to impose more obligations on federal contractors. This being an election year, it remains to be seen when - or even whether - the President will sign such an Executive Order.
