Mary Dohner-Smith and Kim Seten Present at Medical Professional Liability Association Corporate Counsel Workshop

Constangy partners Mary Dohner-Smith and Kim Seten will present at the Medical Professional Liability Association’s Corporate Counsel Workshop on Nov. 3 at 1:45 p.m. at the Noelle Hotel in Nashville.

The presentation, “Navigating Generational Differences in the Workplace,” will discuss the impact of having five different generations in the workplace. The presentation will also explore the impact of COVID-19 on the workplace.

Dohner-Smith is a partner in the Nashville office with experience involving every aspect of the employment relationship. She has been involved in complex litigation involving all aspects of Title VII, the ADEA, the ADA, the FLSA, USERRA, retaliatory discharge, and state law claims for breach of contract, fraud, negligence, and negligent and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Before joining Constangy, she worked in human resources in both unionized and non-unionized facilities.

Seten, is a partner in the Kansas City office, who works with employers to address both employment and union issues in the workplace. A firm believer that the best way to minimize litigation in the workplace is to address issues before they become problems, Seten enjoys working with clients to develop proactive strategies and best practices in dealing with employees. When litigation arises, however, she represents clients before federal and state agencies as well as in the state and federal courts of Missouri and Kansas. She is a frequent presenter around the country on employment topics and is a contributing editor on “How To Take A Case Before The NLRB.”
