Anjie Cabrera Elected to Board of National Employment Law Council

Press Room

Constangy is pleased to announce that Anjie Cabrera, partner and Office Head of the firm’s New York office, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the National Employment Law Council (NELC).

NELC is a national organization of leading labor and employment attorneys dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal profession and fostering collaboration among management-side practitioners. As a member of the Board of Directors, Anjie will help guide the organization’s strategic initiatives, programming, and professional development efforts.

Anjie is a seasoned litigator who defends employers in a wide range of workplace disputes across the Northeast, including matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and employee benefits claims before federal and state courts and administrative agencies. She also handles labor arbitrations and trade secret matters, and regularly advises employers on compliance with employment laws and internal investigations. With extensive trial and appellate experience—including arguments before federal and state appellate courts—Anjie brings practical judgment to high-stakes disputes. Earlier in her career, she served as a New York State prosecutor and later clerked for the Honorable Shelby Highsmith of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. She remains actively involved in professional and community organizations, including the Hispanic National Bar Association, and serves as Co-Chair of the Board of Directors for Latinas On the Verge of Excellence (L.O.V.E.).
