Constangy Welcomes New Attorneys to Boston, San Diego, San Francisco and Seattle Offices
Constangy is pleased to announce the addition of six new attorneys—Rachael Chen, Kyle Clawson, Matthew Dobbs, Alexandria Driessen, Elyssa Martinez, and Julie Zong—bolstering the firm’s Employment Litigation and Cybersecurity & Data Privacy services in the Boston, San Diego, San Francisco, and Seattle offices.
Meet the New Attorneys
Rachael Chen – Litigation Associate Attorney, Boston
Rachael represents employers in employment litigation and counseling matters, including claims involving discrimination, retaliation, and workplace disputes before administrative agencies and in state and federal courts. She has experience handling all phases of litigation, from discovery and depositions to dispositive motions and expert-related matters, and also advises employers on workplace policies and procedures. Prior to joining Constangy, Rachael handled complex commercial litigation involving employment issues, trade secrets, consumer protection, and contract disputes.
During law school, Rachael served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Allison D. Burroughs of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and as a legal intern with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office. She earned her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law and her B.A. in Political Science from Clark University. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
Kyle Clawson – Litigation Associate Attorney, San Francisco
Kyle represents employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters and advises clients through all stages of litigation. He has significant experience managing cases from inception through resolution, including investigations, discovery, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations. Before joining Constangy, Kyle practiced with national and regional law firms, where he focused on employment litigation, insurance coverage disputes, and complex civil litigation.
Kyle earned his J.D. from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and his B.S. in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Utah. He is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. District Courts for the Central, Eastern, Northern, and Southern Districts of California.
Matthew Dobbs – Litigation Associate Attorney, San Diego
Matthew represents employers in labor and employment litigation matters involving wage and hour disputes, discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and class and representative actions. He works closely with clients on litigation strategy, discovery management, and dispute resolution. Prior to joining Constangy, Matthew practiced at California-based firms where he focused on employment and business litigation defense.
Matthew earned his J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and his B.A. in History and Political Science from the University of California, Davis. He is admitted to practice in California.
Alexandria “Allie” Driessen – Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Associate Attorney, Seattle
Allie represents employers in employment and civil litigation matters and assists clients through all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and settlement negotiations. Her practice emphasizes strategic case development and practical, business-oriented solutions. During law school, she served as a Rule 9 Licensed Legal Intern focusing on criminal defense and previously worked as a legal assistant in a high-volume civil litigation practice.
Allie earned her J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law and her B.S. in Political Science and Criminal Justice from Gonzaga University. She is admitted to practice in Washington.
Elyssa Martinez – Litigation Associate Attorney, San Diego
Elyssa represents employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters, including wage and hour disputes, class actions, and claims brought under California’s Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA). Prior to joining Constangy, she practiced at a California employment law firm where she handled class, representative, and individual employment claims through all stages of litigation.
Elyssa earned her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law and her B.A. in Government from Grand Canyon University. She is admitted to practice in California.
Julie Zong – Litigation Senior Counsel, San Francisco
Julie advises employers on a broad range of employment law matters, including workplace compliance, employee relations, internal investigations, wage and hour issues, accommodations, leave management, and employment litigation strategy. She brings more than a decade of experience counseling employers across multiple industries and advising HR professionals and executive leadership on evolving workplace laws and compliance obligations. Prior to joining Constangy, Julie served as senior employment counsel for a global technology company and also represented employers in litigation, agency proceedings, arbitrations, and class and representative actions.
Julie earned her J.D. from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco and her B.A. in English and American Literature from Brandeis University. She is admitted to practice in California, New York, and before the U.S. District Courts for the Central, Eastern and Northern Districts of California, and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Northern and Southern Districts of New York.
