Speaking Engagement

Constangy partners Guillermo Escobedo and Michelle Meek will present at the San Diego SHRM 2025 Legal Updates Program on November 6 at the Marsh McLennan Agency offices in San Diego, California.

This annual program brings together HR and business leaders to explore the latest changes in employment law and regulatory developments affecting California workplaces. The half-day event features legislative updates, compliance trends, and practical guidance to help employers prepare for evolving legal obligations in 2026.

Guillermo and Michelle will discuss key legislative shifts and emerging risk areas for employers, including pay transparency requirements, workplace rights and expression, immigration and enforcement trends, evolving privacy obligations, and the impact of artificial intelligence in employment decision-making. Attendees will gain actionable strategies to strengthen compliance, anticipate litigation risks, and support proactive workforce planning.

The program will run from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and participants will receive a 2026 Legal Compliance Checklist to support year-ahead planning and risk mitigation efforts.
