Overview

Alex is an experienced employment and labor attorney who litigates on behalf of management clients. He represents employers in federal and state court throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. He defends employers in both union and non-union environments. His areas of experience include wage-and-hour litigation, employment discrimination, unfair labor practices, criminal-history checks, reasonable accommodations (disability and religion), and claims related to military service (USERRA).

Alex also counsels employers on how to avoid litigation through proactive policies and agreements. Alex helps clients avoid trouble spots and navigate complicated legal minefields. He has experience designing and drafting legally compliant policies, as well as creating and conducting training for managers and supervisors. Alex emphasizes employers’ business goals and provides holistic legal services.

Alex is an avid gym-rat and a voracious reader. When he’s not helping employers with their legal needs, he’s either working out or reading a book (or both). He’s been married to his brilliant and beautiful wife, Andrea, for three years. They have two cats.
