Overview

Ayan is a versatile labor and employment practitioner. Ayan utilizes her analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills to assist public and private employers with employment related disputes involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, failure to accommodate, wrongful termination, non-compete issues, and other litigation and pre-litigation matters. On the advice and counsel side, Ayan assists clients with drafting, reviewing, auditing, and implementing employment policies, agreements, and handbooks.

Ayan is a zealous advocate for racial justice, social change, and diversity and inclusion education. Whenever possible, she leverages these perspectives in providing top-quality legal counsel to her clients. Ayan believes that strategic employer DEI efforts are critical to mitigating lawsuits, minimizing employee turnover, and reducing customer attrition. She is happy to guide clients in the creation, management, and optimization of all efforts related to workplace inclusivity, employee safety, and the development of equitable workplace practices. The effects of a diverse, equitable and inclusive organization can be felt holistically and Ayan is uniquely capable of assisting her clients with meeting DEI goals efficiently and in a manner compliant with state, local, and federal law.

Outside of work Ayan is a doting dog mom and theme park enthusiast. Ayan has a passion for bridge building is fueled by the growth of others - she finds that the truest sense of fulfillment comes from helping others experience success.
