Overview
Derek is an employment defense attorney focused on helping employers prevent lawsuits, and if necessary, prevail in litigation. Derek takes a hands-on, personal approach with all of his clients where he can emphasize effective and open communication. He has experience in both single plaintiff and class action defense, especially with cases arising under Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, and the Texas Labor Code. He also handles charges of discrimination and retaliation filed with the EEOC and the Texas Workforce Commission. Derek has also recently developed a niche in the regulation of drug and alcohol testing programs so that he can create and implement policies to prioritize workplace safety.
