Justin O. Scott

Justin represents employers in a broad range of employment-related disputes and litigation. He has experience helping employers respond to claims of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and breaches of contract. Justin has represented clients in both state and federal courts, before the Florida Commission on Human Relations and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”). He also has experience litigating disputes involving covenants not to compete.

Prior to law school, Justin moved to Boston, MA to work as a Program/Project Manager in a nationally renowned cooperation’s Office of Global Diversity and Inclusion. While there he reported directly to the Global Chief Diversity Officer and assisted in driving critical diversity initiatives and operations.

Justin went on to study at Stetson University School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctorate. While in law school, Justin served as a legal intern for the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”) in Tampa, Florida. He was exposed to a wide range of labor and employment matters including discrimination claims under Title VII, Americans with Disability Act (“ADA”), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), and various others. Justin was also appointed as the President of the student Labor & Employment Law Association during his third year.

Justin was also a member of Stetson University College of Law's nationally recognized Trial Team where he competed in several competitions across the nation and has been recognized nationally as Best Advocate in competition.

Prior to joining Constangy, Justin worked as an Assistant Public Defender for the 13th Judicial Circuit where he represented thousands of clients in County and Circuit level criminal court, including several dispositive hearings and jury trials culminating in verdicts.

In his spare time, Justin returns to Stetson to coach for the nationally ranked mock trial team. He is an advent fan of football, fishing, and spending time with his fiancé Nara and their 150 pound puppy, Titan.
