Overview

Nikki has taken more than a dozen employment cases to trial on behalf of employers in the past decade. She appears in state and federal courts across the country, and before administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Missouri Commission on Human Rights, Kansas Human Rights Commission and the Department of Labor. Given her trial experience, Nikki has also acted as trial monitoring counsel for insurance carriers, providing real-time updates and evaluations as the trial unfolds.

Nikki additionally conducts corporate investigations on behalf of companies into allegation of potential harassment, discrimination and other policy or legal violations by current employees.  The individuals she investigates may range from hourly employees, management employees or even c-suite executives.  Nikki devotes the majority of her current practice to defending employers against nationwide class and collective actions, as well as large multi-plaintiff discrimination lawsuits and litigation resulting from EEOC systemic investigations.  A sample of her complex litigation practice includes: several EEOC pattern-and-practice lawsuits involving more than 50 claimants each, a 37-plaintiff lawsuit alleging individual race harassment and discrimination claims, call center class/collective actions, as well as claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and other state and federal statutes.

About Me

Nikki and her husband are currently overwhelmingly busy with their two-year-old son, Connor. Nikki and her husband love renovating houses, and they have (mostly) successfully flipped, rented, and sold several homes. When they manage to get out of the house, they love eating Mexican food, hitting the beach, and spending time at the lake with their silver lab, Brett, and their border collie, Weston.
