Overview
Cordia Perez is a member of the Constangy Cyber Team and is based in Denver, Colorado.
She brings extensive experience litigating insurance claims and managing complex cyber insurance claims including matters involving data breach response, ransomware matters, and privacy-related litigation.
Prior to joining Constangy, Cordia served as Cyber Claim Counsel for national insurers, where she evaluated cyber policy coverage and managed high-exposure claims involving data breaches, ransomware incidents, and privacy events. She analyzed and adjusted cyber-related class action claims, monitored litigation strategy, and evaluated liability and claim exposure to establish accurate claim reserves. Over the course of her career in the cyber insurance space, she evaluated more than 200 data breach and ransomware claims and worked closely with claims professionals, managing directors, underwriters, and agents to support risk mitigation and recovery efforts.
Cordia previously defended numerous litigation matters for a national insurance carrier after serving for several years as a public defender in both Colorado and Illinois, representing clients in trials, evidentiary hearings, and complex civil proceedings.
Cordia earned her Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law and her Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, in Political Science with a minor in Spanish from Fort Lewis College. She is admitted to practice in Colorado and Illinois.
