She is committed to helping employers efficiently navigate litigation while balancing business priorities and workplace dynamics.
Deepa devotes a significant part of her practice to advising businesses on complex employment laws and regulatory compliance. She regularly counsels clients on federal, state, and local requirements, offering practical guidance on onboarding, terminations, personnel policies, employee classifications, and wage and hour compliance. Deepa works closely with HR teams to provide proactive strategies that help mitigate risk and support day-to-day operations.
Prior to joining Constangy, Deepa practiced corporate law at an AmLaw 100 firm, where she advised startup companies and venture capital investors on governance and transactional matters. Her background also includes hands-on experience in employment and civil litigation, including a clerkship with the U.S. Department of Justice, where she defended against employment discrimination and tort claims. Deepa externed at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and co-directed the Wage Justice Clinic, handling wage claims before the California Labor Commissioner.
Deepa’s diverse legal background gives her a well-rounded perspective when advising employers on workplace policies, compliance, and risk management strategies.
