Overview

Ryli is a member of the Constangy Cyber Team and is based in Denver, Colorado.  She counsels clients on compliance with data privacy and information security laws, and guides them through the development of policies and practices to meet their regulatory and contractual requirements. 

Ryli’s compliance work is informed by extensive experience managing responses to data security incidents and facilitating digital forensics investigations. She has assisted hundreds of clients respond to ransomware attacks, business email compromises, and various data privacy and information security matters.  In many of those matters she provided crisis communications guidance and assisted clients in complying with consumer notification and regulatory reporting obligations. Ryli incorporates the insight gained from her extensive incident response experience in assisting clients develop data privacy programs, prepare incident response plans, and mitigate the risk of liability stemming from data privacy or security events.

Ryli earned her J.D. at the University of Denver – Sturm College of Law.  While in law school, she worked in the Forge Innovation Entrepreneurial Clinic and earned a number of accolades for her academic achievements. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University in Accounting and Business Administration and graduated as a Business Honors Scholar for her academic excellence.  She also holds the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) credential from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
