Overview

Jonathan represents employers in a wide range of employment disputes, including claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, disability accommodation, FMLA, and wage and hour issues.

He has extensive experience litigating Title VII, ADA, ADEA, Equal Pay Act, FMLA, GINA, Rehabilitation Act, and §1981 matters, and has handled all phases of litigation in federal district courts and before administrative agencies.

Jonathan joins Constangy with a strong background in both public- and private-sector employment law. Most recently, he served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia, where he defended federal agencies in employment discrimination suits and handled discovery, briefing, mediation, and appellate matters before the Eleventh Circuit. He previously served as a labor and employment attorney for the Federal Aviation Administration, advising management on discipline, performance, reasonable accommodations, whistleblower claims, workplace investigations, and compliance with federal employment laws.

In addition to his federal service, Jonathan practiced at a multinational labor and employment firm, representing private employers in complex employment litigation and counseling clients on restrictive covenants, background checks, worker classification, and reasonable accommodation processes. He also served as an Assistant County Attorney for Fulton County and as a Kennedy Fellow with the City of Atlanta Law Department, where he gained early experience in employment litigation, personnel hearings, administrative investigations, and workplace policy development.
