Daily Trumpdate: Rough times for Puzder?

The confirmation hearing for Andrew Puzder, President Trump's nominee for Secretary of Labor, has been postponed yet again - now it's scheduled for Tuesday, February 7. Andrew Puzder.flickrCC.GageSkidmoreAccording to the Washington Post, Mr. Puzder has submitted his paperwork to the Office of Government Ethics, which is reviewing it and has not yet turned it over to the Senate.

Meanwhile, it was reported this week that in 2010 Mr. Puzder's company, CKE Restaurants, Inc., outsourced its information technology department to the Philippines, which reportedly resulted in layoffs of U.S. employees of CKE and employees of a California staffing company. Although this is perfectly legal and not uncommon, it does appear to conflict with President Trump's stated priority of keeping jobs in the United States.

And, in case you missed it, here is Jeanette Phelan's first bulletin on President Trump's immigration-related Executive Orders. More to come.

Have a great weekend!
