SUMMARY:
Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete LLP is seeking a full-time Docketing Coordinator for its Los Angeles, California office. The successful candidate will have 1 - 3 years of experience, be a motivated self-starter with a high level of attention to detail, be able to multitask in a fast-paced, team environment while independently following through on tasks from start to finish with minimal direction. This position will involve coordinating the docket needs for all attorneys in the California offices initially, with intent to expand the service to the Western regional offices to include Colorado & Missouri.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Open all new cases
- Track client, legal and filing deadlines
- Generate reports detailing action items and due dates
- Timely notify Attorneys to ensure all deadlines are met
- Track court filings on court electronic docket and internally using CompuLaw
- Administer docket database
- Schedule upcoming hearings, assign trial dates and coordinate coverage accordingly
- Save, scan and copy court documents as needed
- Handle overflow administrative assignments as needed
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1 – 3 years of docketing experience in a litigation firm
- Substantial experience working in CompuLaw
- A strong knowledge of court procedures and legal regulations
- Strong customer service and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
