Constangy partners Angelique Lyons and David Steffen will speak at the 2024 Tax Collector Conference.

Angelique's session on compliance with disability and leave laws is scheduled for Tuesday, August 27th from 10 - 10:50 a.m. David will present an employment law update in the same time slot on Wednesday, August 28th.

Angelique leads Constangy's Tampa and Port St. Lucie offices. She focuses her practice in employment law, including compliance with FLSA, Title VII, ADEA, ADA, and FMLA. She defends employers in complex class and collective actions and regularly represents clients before the EEOC, DOL, and other agencies. A former HR Martin County President, Angelique provides companies with invaluable guidance on employee relations, ensuring compliance, and fostering a productive workplace.

David has extensive experience representing clients in state and federal courts, as well as before various agencies, including the Florida Commission on Human Relations, the EEOC, OSHA, the Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division, and the NLRB. He provides counsel on managing Workers’ Compensation claims and ensuring the proper enforcement of employment policies. Additionally, David routinely advises clients on proactive strategies to mitigate potential risks and limit future legal exposure.
