Constangy Adds Two Attorneys in Los Angeles

Press Room

Constangy, Brooks, Smith and Prophete, LLP is pleased to announce that Ronald Sarian has recently joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as senior counsel.

Sarian brings to Constangy more than two decades of experience as a top-rated business litigator, including a five-year stint as vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of eHarmony, the international online dating site with more than 60 million registered users.

Sarian is a nationally published and recognized thought leader in cybersecurity, information governance, and internet law. He also has substantial, hands-on experience in ADA website compliance, and tech/crypto law. His work also includes contracts, intellectual property, corporate structure, securities, SEC and FINRA issues.

“We’re excited for Ron to join our growing California team, said partner and California practice lead Kenneth Sulzer. “In addition to playing a significant role in growing our data security and information governance offerings, Ron brings a valuable client’s perspective that comes from years of on-the-ground experience as in-house counsel and in private practice. He has a litigator’s skill in quickly identifying and responding to potential problems, coupled with the ability to navigate c-suite relationships and keep an eye on our clients’ broader business objectives.”

Sarian is ranked AV Preeminent by Martindale and received his J.D. from Loyola Law School.

“Many companies think of cybersecurity only in terms of customer information, but there are huge vulnerabilities on the employment side that a lot of organizations aren’t fully prepared for, and that can result in significant liability and reputational risk” said Sarian. “At Constangy, I’m looking forward to working with employers to identify and mitigate those risks.”

Constangy also welcomes Alexandria Gilbert to the Los Angeles office as an associate. Gilbert is a 2018 graduate of Stanford Law School. Prior to joining Constangy, Alexandria was an attorney in the Corporate Restructuring group at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, where she represented clients in industries including financial services and insurance, energy, health care, real estate, media and entertainment, and retail.
