Constangy is pleased to announce the appointment of Taren Greenidge and Sasha Thaler as the new co-chairs of the firm’s Workplace Investigations Practice Group. Greenidge, a partner based in Rochester, NY, and Thaler, a partner from the Boston office, bring a powerful combination of expertise, leadership, and passion to their new roles.

Greenidge represents employers in a broad facet of employment matters including harassment, discrimination, wage and hour claims, workers’ compensation, leave laws, disability accommodation, policy drafting and client counseling for compliance with federal, state, and local laws. She has represented companies in both state and federal court and before administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New York State Division of Human Rights and the New York City Commission of Human Rights, New York Department of Labor, and the New Jersey Department of Labor. Greenidge has also represented clients in matters in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Texas and Tennessee, among other states. Greenidge works diligently to advocate for her clients and to provide them with zealous defense and representation. Both small businesses and Fortune 500 companies regularly call upon Greenidge to provide advice on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Greenidge also has substantial experience conducting sensitive workplace investigations involving workplace culture, hostile work environments, harassment, discrimination and misconduct. Greenidge’s extensive experience has helped to quickly establish her knowledge in the area of labor and employment law.

Thaler has nearly two decades of experience advising and defending employers across a variety of industries in matters impacting their workplaces - from compliance with an array of labor and employment regulations to alternative dispute resolution and employment litigation. Thaler uses her extensive experience in labor and employment law to counsel clients on compliance with a wide array of federal and state laws and regulations, such as the FLSA, the FMLA, the ADA, Title VII, and the WARN Act, among others. She has represented clients in industries ranging from education, staffing, manufacturing, software, and hospitality. Thaler’s practice includes creating and implementing workplace policies and procedures to address hiring practices, terminations, employee leaves of absence, disciplinary actions, wage and hour standards, discrimination and harassment, and employee disputes. She also regularly drafts employment-related contracts, including noncompetes, nonsolicits, confidentiality, and executive employment agreements. When necessary, Thaler vigorously defends businesses in litigation and against state and federal agency actions, coordinating and executing a defense strategy, handling responses to agency investigations, and conducting internal investigations involving alleged discrimination, harassment, unprofessional conduct, and violations of wage and hour regulations. In addition, Thaler acts as an independent investigator for institutions of higher education in both Title IX and workplace discrimination matters.
