Constangy Strengthens Services with Three New Additions

Press Room

Constangy is delighted to announce the addition of Ansley Bryan, Carl Kaplan, and Robert Wennagel to the firm, enhancing its services in cybersecurity, employment law, and artificial intelligence compliance.

Ansley Bryan joins the Constangy Cyber Team in New York as a law clerk, bringing specialized skills in managing high-stakes responses to cyber incidents. As part of the rapid response team, Ansley assists clients with system intrusions, ransomware attacks, and other cyber crises, coordinating with digital forensics experts, threat negotiators, and network restoration teams to effectively contain and resolve incidents. She also advises on compliance, guiding clients through consumer and regulatory notification requirements. Ansley earned her J.D. from Boston College Law School and holds a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina, where she received several academic honors.

Carl Kaplan is a seasoned labor and employment attorney based in Constangy’s San Francisco office, adept at managing the complexities of California’s employment landscape. He represents employers in wage and hour class actions, trade secrets litigation, and claims of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wrongful termination. Carl’s experience on both sides of employment litigation equips him with a unique perspective that enhances his defense strategies. He also advises clients on compliance, conducts workplace investigations, and helps prevent potential litigation by managing pre-litigation disputes and advising on best practices. Carl's proactive approach includes facilitating arbitration and settlements when advantageous for his clients.

Robert Wennagel operates from Constangy’s Orange County, CA office, bringing extensive expertise in employment law, compliance, and technology-driven solutions. Formerly in-house at a staffing firm and an HR software company, Robert advises on risk management, best practices for handbook policies, HR strategies, and compliance with evolving wage and hour laws. His expertise extends to data privacy and AI, providing clients with guidance on ethical AI deployment, bias audits, and frameworks for responsible AI practices. Robert holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Data Privacy and an MBA, and he has contributed to publications on AI regulation and fairness in the workplace.

Constangy remains committed to staying ahead of the curve in addressing emerging challenges in labor and employment law and cybersecurity and data privacy law. The addition of these talented team members underscores the firm’s dedication to providing exceptional client service across a wide range of industries.
