In the News: David Phippen Publishes Article with Bloomberg Law
Constangy attorney David Phippen published an article with Bloomberg Law on Nov. 14 discussing the recent layoffs at tech companies and what employers can learn from this.
The article, “Why Employers Need to Heed Federal and State Layoff Laws,” discusses the importance of employers becoming familiar with the federal WARN Act and related state laws that sometimes apply to certain facility closings, layoffs, and relocations.
Phippen has for many years represented businesses in a full range of labor, employment and transportation matters. He has experience in both counseling and litigation, with particular emphasis on traditional labor matters, wage and hour matters, representation of employers in administrative proceedings and alternative dispute resolution proceedings, and representation of motor carriers and shippers of property in transportation matters.
