Constangy Cyber Team Chair, Sean Hoar, will speak at the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel (OADC) Fall Seminar on Cybersecurity Threats. This all-day event will be held at the Benson Hotel in Portland Oregon on Friday, November 17th.

In his presentation, 'Cybersecurity Threats: Managing Legal, Ethical & Operational Risk,' Sean will discuss the current state of the cyber threat landscape and the real implications of malicious attacks. The day's presentations begin 8:20 a.m. PT and Sean's program is scheduled for 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. PT.

Sean Hoar, a partner at Constangy's Portland office, brings nearly 25 years of expertise in the cybersecurity and data privacy realm. His career spans both public and private sectors, working as a cyber attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice before joining Constangy as the chair of the Cybersecurity and Data Privacy practice group. Sean and his colleagues on the Cyber Team help organizations across all sectors respond to cybersecurity incidents, work towards compliance with a growing list of state, federal, and global security and privacy laws, and defend against litigation and regulatory investigations resulting from data breaches and alleged privacy infringements.

Recognized for his exceptional leadership in the data privacy and cybersecurity domain, Sean has been named to Cybersecurity Docket's list of the top data breach response lawyers in the United States for six consecutive years. His credentials also include being a Global Information Security Professional (GISP), a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and a Certified Information Privacy Professional for United States law (CIPP/US).
