The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers Announces Election of Steven Katz as Fellow
Atlanta, GA, June 11, 2022 — Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete congratulates Los Angeles partner Steven Katz on his election as a 2022 Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.
The College was established in 1995 through an initiative of the Council of The Section of Labor and Employment Law of the American Bar Association. It operates as a free-standing organization recognizing those who, by long and outstanding service, have distinguished themselves as leaders in the field. Election as a Fellow is the highest recognition by one’s colleagues of sustained outstanding performance in the profession of labor and employment law, exemplifying integrity, dedication and excellence.
Katz has been a state bar-certified appellate specialist for two decades, and has practiced at Constangy since 2016. He has handled appeal and writ proceedings for parties and amici before all levels of appellate courts across the country, including the U.S. and California Supreme Courts. He has also defended employers at the trial level in more than 100 class, representative, and collective actions, as well as numerous other employment and commercial cases. Katz served on the clinical faculties at UCLA School of Law and Stanford Law School, and frequently appears in the press as a commentator on developments in employment law.
