Constangy Adds Two Attorneys, Continues to Expand Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Practice
Constangy is pleased to announce that Amanda Novak has rejoined the firm as senior counsel and Cordia Perez has joined as senior counsel, further strengthening the firm’s national Cybersecurity & Data Privacy practice.
Meet the Attorneys
Amanda Novak – Minneapolis
Amanda advises clients on data privacy and information security compliance, drawing on extensive experience assisting organizations through hundreds of data security incidents. She regularly guides clients through incident response efforts, including coordinating forensic investigations, managing threat actor communications, and addressing notification and reporting obligations. As part of the firm’s compliance advisory team, Amanda counsels clients on evolving privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CPRA, and HIPAA, and helps organizations develop and implement comprehensive privacy and data security programs.
Amanda earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School, where she served as an editor of the Minnesota Law Review, and her B.A. with honors in English from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. She holds CIPP/US, CIPP/E, and AIGP certifications and is admitted to practice in Minnesota.
Cordia Perez – Denver
Cordia focuses on cyber insurance and complex claims arising from data breaches, ransomware incidents, and privacy-related litigation. She brings extensive experience evaluating cyber insurance coverage and managing high-exposure claims, having handled more than 150 data breach and ransomware matters while working closely with insurers, underwriters, and risk professionals. Prior to joining Constangy, Cordia served as Cyber Claim Counsel for national insurers and previously defended litigation matters for a national insurance carrier, following earlier work as a public defender in Colorado and Illinois.
Cordia earned her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law and her B.A., summa cum laude, in Political Science from Fort Lewis College, and is admitted to practice in Colorado and Illinois.
