Constangy Expands National Footprint with Addition of Seven Attorneys Across Multiple Practice Areas

Constangy is pleased to announce the addition of seven accomplished attorneys across key offices nationwide: Lynn Alexis, Troy Daniels, Nicole Davies, Kelsey O’Brien, Sonita Thompson, Darianne Young, and Sydney Hardy.

Lynn Alexis – Kansas City

Lynn represents employers in labor and employment matters, with a focus on collective bargaining, employee relations, and regulatory compliance. She provides counsel on ADA, FMLA, and FLSA issues, and has represented employers before the EEOC and NLRB. Her work includes policy drafting, compliance training, and advising on grievance procedures and unfair labor practices.

With experience in both firm and in-house roles, Lynn has advised public, private, and federal sector clients on union organizing campaigns, contract interpretation, and administrative litigation. A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Lynn brings a mission-driven approach informed by her time advising senior military leadership on legal and policy matters.

She earned her J.D. from New England Law, where she was recognized on the Dean’s List. She also holds a B.A. from National University and an A.A. from Central Texas College. Lynn has served as a member of the Massachusetts Human Rights Commission (Revere, 2020–2023), advisor to the Massachusetts Department of Labor Relations Advisory Council, and as a Guardian Ad Litem with Boston CASA.

Troy Daniels – Chicago

Troy is a member of the Constangy Cyber Team and focuses his practice on data privacy and cybersecurity litigation. He defends clients in class action lawsuits stemming from data breaches and privacy-related claims in both state and federal courts. His litigation experience also includes representing municipal, state, and federal entities.

Prior to joining Constangy, Troy served as counsel for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the City of Dayton, and the State of Ohio. He also practiced at a national cybersecurity and privacy firm.

Troy earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from Northern Kentucky University’s Salmon P. Chase College of Law, where he graduated first in his class and served as Associate and Research Editor for the Northern Kentucky Law Review. He holds a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Cincinnati Christian University, also summa cum laude, and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US). He is licensed to practice law in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Nicole Davies – Kansas City

Nicole is an experienced labor and employment attorney who represents employers in disputes involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour violations. She regularly defends clients before the EEOC, OSHA, and NLRB, as well as in state and federal courts.

Nicole also provides strategic advice on employment contracts, workplace policies, and settlement agreements, and has a track record of resolving disputes in administrative and pre-litigation forums. Her background in marketing and public relations for healthcare and business organizations enhances her business-oriented, solution-driven perspective.

Nicole earned her J.D. from New England Law as a Dean’s Merit Scholar. She also holds an M.A. in Communications and Public Relations from Southern New Hampshire University and a B.A. in Mass Communications from Kansas State University.

Sydney Hardy – Washington, D.C. / Northern Virginia

Sydney Hardy is a member of the Constangy Cyber Team, where she advises clients through all phases of the incident response lifecycle. Based in the firm's Washington, D.C./Northern Virginia office, she counsels organizations on investigating cybersecurity incidents, assessing reporting obligations, and implementing mitigation strategies. Sydney brings experience in data privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance, and is known for her thoughtful, practical approach to managing sensitive matters in fast-paced environments.

Before joining Constangy, Sydney advised higher education clients on cybersecurity policies, branding concerns, and internal governance issues. Her work included briefing university leadership on privacy risks related to social media, trademark protections, and institutional branding. She also supported NCAA-regulated athletic departments and media outlets on compliance issues—experience that informs her risk-conscious approach to advising complex organizations.

Sydney earned her J.D. from Marquette University Law School, where she was Editor of the Sports Law Review and held leadership roles in organizations focused on privacy, communications, and sports law, including Chicago Women in IP and the Black Law Students Association. She earned her B.A. in Economics, cum laude, from George Mason University, where she was inducted into Pi Gamma Mu.

She is licensed to practice in Wisconsin and is active in several professional associations, including the Wisconsin Association of African American Lawyers, Sports Lawyers Association, State Bar of Wisconsin, National Sports Law Institute Sports Law Alumni Association, and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics. In 2023, Sydney received the Honorable Charles N. Clevert, Jr. Award from the Wisconsin Association of African American Lawyers and was awarded the Sports Law Certificate from the National Sports Law Institute in 2025.

Kelsey O’Brien – Los Angeles

Kelsey represents employers in a wide array of employment disputes, including wage and hour class actions and single-plaintiff claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. She guides clients through every phase of litigation—from early case strategy to resolution—and frequently advises on risk exposure and defense planning.

Kelsey’s background includes handling consumer warranty and liability matters, which gives her a multidimensional view of business and legal risk. She has experience representing clients across diverse industries, and is recognized for her pragmatic, efficient approach to dispute resolution.

She received her J.D. from Loyola Law School in 2022 and her B.A. in English from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Sonita Thompson – Jacksonville

Sonita is a seasoned legal and strategic advisor with deep experience in education law, labor negotiations, and policy development. With over a decade of senior leadership experience in the public education sector, she has managed collective bargaining negotiations involving thousands of employees and overseen critical areas such as legal compliance, procurement, and risk management.

Sonita has trained administrators on legal obligations and contract enforcement, represented employers in administrative hearings, and advised on public records and family law matters affecting educational institutions.

She earned her J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Jacksonville University, and a B.S. in Elementary Education from Kansas Newman College.

Darianne Young – Los Angeles

Darianne counsels employers on workplace litigation and global labor compliance. She handles disputes involving wage and hour violations, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation, and represents clients before the EEOC, NLRB, CRD, and other regulatory bodies. Her litigation experience includes class and collective actions, and she regularly advises on cross-border employment matters and regulatory investigations.

She has supported clients in employment-related M&A, agency inquiries, and compliance issues spanning Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Darianne’s industry experience includes aerospace, healthcare, technology, higher education, hospitality, and manufacturing.

Darianne earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where she served as Senior Editor of the Law Review, received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award, and was elected Secretary of the Student Bar Association. She holds a B.A. in English from the University of Kentucky, magna cum laude, where she was active in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She served as a Board Member (2023–2024) and serves as an Officer (2025–2026) of the Black Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles.
