Constangy Names Tammy C. Woolley Co-Chair of Cannabis & Employee Substance Abuse Practice Group

Press Room

Constangy is pleased to announce that Tammy C. Woolley, senior counsel in the firm’s Opelika office, has been appointed co-chair of the firm’s Cannabis & Employee Substance Abuse Practice Group. She joins Keya Denner, a partner based in Constangy’s Northern New Jersey office, in leading the group.

“It’s an exciting time to take on this role, as cannabis laws continue to evolve and reshape the workplace,” said Tammy. “Our focus is on helping employers stay compliant while maintaining safe and effective operations. I’m looking forward to continuing to work with Keya and our team to provide practical, forward-thinking guidance in this complex legal landscape.”

Focused Legal Guidance for Evolving Cannabis and Substance Use Policies

With more than 20 years of experience representing employers, Tammy advises clients on a wide range of workplace legal concerns—from developing medical and recreational marijuana policies to managing litigation involving employee substance use, safety, and compliance matters.

She regularly counsels employers on workplace safety, drug testing protocols, disability accommodation, and related policy considerations. Her litigation background includes representation in state and federal courts.

Employment Law Practice and Client Service

Tammy’s practice also covers employment claims involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, workers’ compensation, and wrongful discharge. She works with clients to proactively reduce litigation risk through policy development, training, and day-to-day counseling. She has also served as a hearing officer for municipal personnel matters and has experience in defending tort-based employment claims, non-compete disputes, and unemployment matters.

Industry Recognition

Tammy has earned numerous accolades for her work, including:
