Dave Kurtz Recognized as a Thomson Reuters™ Stand-Out Lawyer for 2025

Award

Constangy is pleased to announce that partner Dave Kurtz has been named to the Thomson Reuters™ Stand-Out Lawyers list for 2025. This prestigious recognition is based on an extensive evaluation of more than 20,000 client nominations collected over the past three years. The selection process, conducted through Thomson Reuters’ Sharplegal study, relies exclusively on feedback from senior in-house counsel, highlighting attorneys who consistently deliver exceptional legal service and client value.

Dave leads Constangy’s Boston office, serves on the firm’s Executive Committee, and co-chairs both the Litigation Department and the Technology & Entrepreneurial Ventures industry group and Transactional Solutions practice group. He represents both unionized and non-unionized employers—including Fortune 500 companies and high-tech startups—in a wide range of labor and employment matters. A trusted advisor, Dave is known for his ability to navigate complex employment disputes, develop creative solutions to challenging legal issues, and align legal strategies with his clients' business objectives. His practice spans litigation, arbitration, and mediation, as well as counseling on hiring and termination decisions, severance agreements, employee handbooks, wage and hour compliance, and other employment-related matters. He also has deep experience in restrictive covenant issues, including confidentiality agreements, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, and trade secret protection. Additionally, Dave maintains an active traditional labor law practice, advising employers on collective bargaining, labor negotiations, unfair labor practice charges, and arbitration proceedings.

In recognition of his outstanding work, Dave has been honored by multiple legal industry publications. In addition to being named a Thomson Reuters™ Stand-Out Lawyer for 2023 and 2025, he has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® for Employment Law – Management and Litigation - Labor and Employment (2022, 2024-2025) and selected to the Massachusetts Super Lawyers® list (2014-2024). He was also featured in Boston magazine’s Top Lawyers™ - Labor & Employment (2022).
