Guillermo Escobedo Presents at SHRM California State Conference
Constangy partner Guillermo Escobedo will present at the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) California State Conference, held from April 15–17 in Sacramento, California. This annual conference brings together HR leaders, employment attorneys, and business professionals from across the state.
The California SHRM State Conference features three days of programming on legislative and human resources leadership topics. Guillermo's presentation, “Beyond the Layoff: Practical and Legal Considerations for Workforce Reduction,” is scheduled for April 17 from 9–10 a.m. PT. This session, he will address practical and legal considerations related to workforce reduction.

Guillermo Escobedo is an experienced litigator who defends employers in a wide range of workplace disputes, including claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and failure to accommodate. He also handles matters involving defamation, breach of contract, misappropriation of trade secrets, and wage-and-hour issues such as overtime, meal and rest periods, and misclassification. Guillermo represents employers in single and multi-plaintiff lawsuits, class actions, and Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) claims across California state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration and administrative proceedings. In addition to his litigation practice, he advises employers on compliance and best practices and conducts workplace training on topics such as harassment prevention and management strategies.
