Press Room

Constangy is pleased to announce that John Keir has joined the firm’s Cyber Team as a partner, based in Atlanta.

“John brings a wealth of privacy law knowledge, cybersecurity experience, and practical business insight,” said Neil Wasser, chair of Constangy’s executive committee. “His ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into workable strategies will be invaluable to our clients as they navigate evolving privacy, cybersecurity, and AI governance challenges. We’re thrilled to welcome him to the Constangy Cyber Team.”

John advises organizations on privacy, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence governance matters, helping companies address regulatory requirements while integrating compliance into their broader business and technology operations. He works with clients on global privacy frameworks, incident response planning, data governance, and emerging AI risk management issues.

Before joining Constangy, John served as Lead Counsel for Data Privacy & Security at Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange. In that role, he helped oversee global privacy and AI governance programs and advised on enterprise cybersecurity and data protection strategies across the organization.

Earlier in his career, John held information security roles supporting federal defense and government technology programs and later taught Privacy, Information Security, and AI Law as an adjunct professor at Emory University School of Law. He earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law and his B.S. in Information Technology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and holds several cybersecurity certifications, including CISSP and CRISC.
