Ken Carlson Named to North Carolina Lawyers Weekly's 2026 Legal 250 List in Employment Law
Constangy is proud to announce that Ken Carlson, a partner in the firm's Winston-Salem, North Carolina office, has been named to North Carolina Lawyers Weekly's 2026 Legal 250 list in the Employment category.
The Legal 250 list recognizes 250 attorneys across 27 practice areas who are making a meaningful impact on North Carolina's legal profession and communities. Honorees were selected through an open nomination process, editorial research and independent selections by the North Carolina Lawyers Weekly editorial team. The publication was created to recognize attorneys whose work is helping shape the state's legal landscape.
Ken focuses his practice on employment law, representing employers in a wide range of workplace matters. His practice includes discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful discharge claims; trade secrets and unfair competition; employment, confidentiality and noncompetition agreements; and wage and hour matters. Today, much of his practice involves serving as a mediator and arbitrator in employment-related disputes. He also advises employers on workplace compliance, provides management training and counseling, and helps organizations navigate complex employment issues while minimizing legal risk.
In addition to his legal practice, Ken is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and serves as an adjunct professor at Wake Forest University School of Law, where he teaches negotiation and trade secrets/unfair competition. He is also a frequent speaker at continuing legal education programs and has authored numerous publications on employment law, restrictive covenants, mediation and arbitration.
Ken’s professional honors include recognition in Chambers USA, The Best Lawyers in America®, North Carolina Super Lawyers, and Business North Carolina's Legal Elite. He has also been named to North Carolina Lawyers Weekly's Employment Power List and has received multiple Best Lawyers "Lawyer of the Year" honors in employment law, litigation, arbitration and mediation.
