Kim Detwiler Named Partner at Constangy
Constangy is proud to announce that Kim Detwiler has been named a partner at the firm, effective January 1, 2026.
“Kim’s promotion to partner recognizes the extraordinary value she brings to our clients and to the firm,” said Neil Wasser, chair of Constangy’s executive committee. “She combines deep cyber and incident response experience with over 20 years of federal law enforcement and an even rarer ability to deliver calm, strategic guidance in high-pressure situations. We are excited to celebrate this milestone and look forward to Kim’s continued leadership at Constangy.”
Kim is a member of the Constangy Cyber Team and supports employers and organizations navigating cybersecurity incident response, data privacy compliance, and risk mitigation strategies across industries. Kim regularly helps clients address complex cyber and regulatory challenges, including response planning, coordination with forensic and response teams, and compliance with consumer and regulatory notification obligations.
Before joining Constangy, Kim served in federal law enforcement as a United States Secret Service Supervisory Special Agent. Kim was assigned to the Philadelphia and Washington Field Offices, the Protective Intelligence and Assessment Division and was detailed to the National Security Council. As a former criminal investigator, Kim addresses evolving threats posed by sophisticated criminal networks and nation-state actors, providing a strong foundation for advising businesses facing today’s cyber risks. Kim previously provided incident response services in private practice, where she facilitated digital forensics investigations, threat actor communications, and breach response strategy and supported clients through complex regulatory requirements.
Kim earned her law degree from Widener University School of Law and holds a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice from St. Joseph’s University and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Shippensburg University. Kim is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and has received honors including the U.S. Attorney Law Enforcement Award (District of Columbia) and the U.S. Secret Service Director’s Performance Award.
