Press Room

Constangy is pleased to announce that Mary Dohner Smith, Managing Partner of the firm’s Nashville office, has been approved by the Tennessee Supreme Court Administrative Office of the Courts as a Rule 31 Listed Mediator.

Mary represents employers in a wide range of labor and employment matters and brings extensive litigation and counseling experience to her mediation practice. As a Rule 31 Mediator, Mary is approved to serve as a neutral in civil matters, assisting parties in resolving disputes efficiently and effectively outside of the courtroom.

Mary’s practice focuses on helping employers navigate complex workplace issues, including employment litigation, risk management, and strategic dispute resolution. Her experience advising and defending employers across industries gives her a practical, solutions-oriented perspective well suited to mediation, particularly in employment-related disputes where business considerations, legal exposure, and workplace dynamics intersect.

In addition to her practice, as Managing Partner of the Nashville office, Mary plays a key leadership role in client service, attorney development, and firm growth in the region. Her approval as a Rule 31 Mediator further reflects her commitment to providing employers with thoughtful, efficient, and business-focused approaches to conflict resolution.
