Constangy Cyber Team chair Sean Hoar will present at Incident Response Forum Ransomware 2025, held virtually on Thursday, December 4, 2025.

Designed specifically for legal and compliance professionals who play critical roles in the aftermath of ransomware incidents, the conference features a full day of sessions from cybersecurity and data privacy professionals. Sean will join the panel, “State of Play: The Latest Ransomware Variants, Tools and Modus Operandi,” from 10:00–10:45 a.m. ET.

Sean Hoar is a partner in Constangy’s Portland office and chair of the firm’s national Cyber Team. With more than 25 years of experience in data privacy and information security, he previously served as the lead cyber attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice in Oregon and worked with the Computer Crime & Intellectual Property Section in Washington, D.C. Sean has twice been honored with the DOJ Director’s Award and has been recognized by Cybersecurity Docket as one of the top data breach response lawyers in the country. He holds GISP, CISSP, and CIPP/US credentials and leads the firm’s response to complex cyber incidents while advising clients on cybersecurity risk management.
